Up for sale is a beautiful 1961 Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone with a five digit serial number (97172) that still has the original lacquer. This horn had one owner before it came to us and was extremely well taken care.
Cosmetically, this horn is in amazing shape! There literally isn't a dent on this horn anywhere, even on the bottom of the instrument. There's some minor scratches in places and the lacquer is showing some wear in certain spots as well. Please see pics for condition.

Structurally, the horn is in great shape and in perfect working order. We had our brass/woodwinds tech go over it and he said that it seemed like the horn had been sitting a while and would need some general maintenance. He also said that the horn plays great and sounds freakin' amazing!
According to the previous owner's son, the horn had been in fact sitting in the case for a while. He also said that it was repaded at some point but nothing else was done to it. It has NEVER been re-lacquered or repaired in any way.
This horn is priced to sell! You don't see these in this nice of condition very offten either. Comes with the original case, original neck piece (SN 97172), original Soloist C* mouthpiece and some case candy.
